Vital Statistics

Whether you are getting married or having a baby, East Calgary Registry wants to be your first stop for all the most important moments in your life. We provide all Vital Statistics services for the Province of Alberta. We can order birth, marriage and death certificates; we can issue marriage licences and register marriages and we can assist with Legal Name Change applications.

All Vital Statistics services require that an eligible person visits an Alberta Registry Agent in person, show valid government-issued photo ID and complete the appropriate application form.

If you reside outside of Alberta, you have the option of using Registry Connect to request birth, marriage or death documents. This service involves going to see a lawyer or notary to confirm proof of identity. Visit Registry Connect  to learn more.
